Συνωμοσιολόγοι και ψεκασμένοι

Μ​​ην εκπλαγεί κανείς μας εάν ο κ. Αρτέμης Σώρρας περάσει το κατώφλι της Βουλής στις επόμενες εθνικές εκλογές. Οσο προκλητικός και αν είναι, όσο και αν φωνάζουν και του επιτίθενται τα παραδοσιακά μέσα ενημέρωσης, ο λόγος του είναι πολύ πιθανό να πείθει κάποιους συμπολίτες μας. Ο κ. Σώρρας μπορεί να είναι ένα ακόμη προϊόν της εποχής μας.
Το έδαφος είναι εξαιρετικά πρόσφορο. Μια μεγάλη ομάδα συμπολιτών μας, ίσως μάλιστα να είναι και η πλειονότητα, θεωρεί ότι το μνημόνιο ήταν μια μεγάλη συνωμοσία για να βάλουν στο χέρι οι ξένοι τα καλύτερα «οικογενειακά μας κοσμήματα», τη θάλασσα, τα εξοχικά μας, τα πετρέλαια κ.λπ. Η τρόικα έκανε τραγικά λάθη και βοήθησε να χαθούν ελληνικές περιουσίες αξίας άνω του ενός τρισεκατομμυρίου ευρώ. Δεν υπάρχει καμία αμφιβολία γι’ αυτό και οι ευθύνες των έξω σε κρίσιμα σημεία είναι σημαντικές.

The hill of Burnswark is still mired in mystery when it comes to its ancient military scope; with historians and archaeologists trying to analyse the crucial aspect of this Scottish site that probably defined its role as a launch pad for Roman invasion of northern Britain. In terms of its strategic scope, Burnswark rises around 1,000 ft above the surrounding Solway plain, while its flat-topped summit contain the remnants of a native hill fort. This was complemented by two Roman marching/training camps (with ramparts) on the north and south slope of the hill. But theories deviate hereafter, as to the ambit of what actually took place in the historical context (in terms of warfare). One school of thought talks about how the fort was probably used by the Romans to train their soldiers, especially in ranged combat. While a second hypothesis suggests that the fort was actually occupied by native forces, and the Romans laid siege to it to starve them out.

Κι έτσι το τέλος των τελευταίων ενεργών μοναρχών ή των διαδόχων μεγάλων αυλών μόνο τόσο αίσιο όσο υποσχόταν η ζωή τους δεν ήταν, αναγκάζοντάς τους να περάσουν τις μέρες τους απλά και ταπεινά.

In 1927, LRH joined the Montana Army National Guard, becoming a private in the Headquarters Company of the 163^rd Infantry. Though only 16, he made it through by claiming to be 18.

A 2500-years-old sword was discovered in China in untarnished condition

The Sword of Goujian  is an archaeological artifact of theSpring and Autumn period (771 to 403BC) found in 1965 in Hubei, China. Forged of copper and tin, it is renowned for its unusual sharpness and resistance to tarnish rarely seen in artifacts so old.
This historical artifact of ancient China is currently in the possession of the Hubei Provincial Museum.
In 1965, an archaeological survey was being performed along the second main aqueduct of the Zhang River Reservoir in Jingzhou, Hubei, more than fifty ancient tombs of theChu State were found in Jiangling County. The dig started in the middle of October 1965 and ended in January 1966.
More than 2,000 artifacts were recovered from the sites, including a bronze sword. In December 1965, 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) from the ruins of Jinan, an ancient capital of Chu, a casket was discovered at Wangshan site #1. Inside, an ornate bronze sword was found with a human skeleton.

On 24 March 1944, with the war in Europe signalling the need for a long-range escort fighter and the P-51 Mustang not yet proven in this role, the USAAF tasked the builder of the first American jet aircraft to build a larger, longer-legged jet fighter. Bell assigned engineer Charles Rhodes to ‘bring along’ the bulky XP-83, powered by two 1633kg thrust General Electric 1-40  turbojets. The craft was to be armed with six 12.7mm Browning nose machine-guns.

Δεν άφησε λίθο επί λίθου στην ελληνική επικράτεια και, μεταξύ των αναρίθμητων εγκλημάτων του, τερμάτισε βίαια τα Ελευσίνια Μυστήρια. As early as 1913 Caproni, then aged 27, had said during an interview for the Italian sports newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport that “aircraft with a capacity of one hundred and more passengers” would soon become a reality. It was after the war, however, that (besides converting some of his large wartime bombers into airliners) Caproni began designing a huge and ambitious passenger flying boat; he first took out a patent on a design of this kind on February 6, 1919.

Δύει το άστρο της Μέρκελ η οποία πληρώνει την απραγία και την αναβλητικότητά της σε όλα τα μείζονα θέματα που ταλανίζουν την Ευρώπη.
Η Γερμανίδα καγκελάριος επιβράβευσε μάλιστα και το ελληνικό πελατειακό κράτος όλα αυτά τα πέτρινα χρόνια των μνημονίων μην απαιτώντας να γίνουν πραγματικές μεταρρυθμίσεις. Το προσφυγικό ήρθε να δώσει την χαριστική βολή στις ηγετικές της ικανότητες. Η ίδια αντιλαμβανόμενη ότι θα υποστεί πανωλεθρία το 2017 βγαίνει σιγά σιγά από το κάδρο.

Λεγόταν Μιλόσεβιτς, τον θυμάστε;

Ως γνωστόν ο Μιλόσεβιτς ήταν «χασάπης». Και «εγκληματίας». Και «δολοφόνος». Και έκανε «γενοκτονία». Και ειδικά στο Κόσσοβο έκανε και «εθνοκάθαρση». Για να καταλάβετε πόσο «κάθαρμα» ήταν, ακόμα κι αυτός ο Πρετεντέρης - όπως έγραφετότε - μόλις τον είδε στο εδώλιο της Χάγης (τον Μιλόσεβιτς ) «ανατρίχιασε» (ο Πρετεντέρης...).

Στις 11 Μαρτίου 2006, ο Σλόμπονταν Μιλόσεβιτς πέθανε στις φυλακές της Χάγης. Προηγουμένως είχε καταγγείλει τους δεσμοφύλακές του ότι τον οδηγούσαν στο θάνατο, αρνούμενοι να του παράσχουν την αναγκαία ιατροφαρμακευτική αγωγή για τα καρδιακά προβλήματα που αντιμετώπιζε.

Δέκα χρόνια αργότερα, πριν από ένα περίπου μήνα, ο Μιλόσεβιτς… αθωώθηκε. Το Διεθνές Δικαστήριο της Χάγης τον απάλλαξε – μετά θάνατο – από την κατηγορία για την υποτιθέμενη συνενοχή του Βελιγραδίου στη σφαγή 8.000 Βοσνίων μουσουλμάνων στη Σρεμπρένιτσα, τον Ιούλιο του 1995.

NASA Is Testing the Engine For its Quiet-Boom Supersonic Jet

NASA and Lockheed Martin are designing an experimental X-plane called the Quiet Supersonic Technology (QueSST) demonstrator aircraft that they hope to fly for the first time in 2019. The program is intended to solve one of the biggest problems with commercial supersonic flight: noise, and specifically the noise a plane makes when it breaks the sound barrier. Even if a company developed a reliable supersonic passenger aircraft, regulations would allow that plane to break the sound barrier only over the ocean, preventing the JFK to LAX flight of your dreams.

Lockheed's design of the QueSST, the LM1044, is intended to prevent the air pressure waves that build up on the airframe from coalescing into one large shockwave. Such a design has the potential to break the sound barrier with a low rumble of small sonic booms rather than the dramatic clap of a large one.

But the sonic boom isn't the only noise problem on a supersonic jet. The engines themselves are incredibly loud—too loud for a commercial airport, especially as traditional airliners get quieter and the industry lowers noise limits. The Concorde itself was much louder than the subsonic jets of the late 1970s, and the aviation industry isn't willing to accept that kind of racket anymore.
