This reality show ("go Greek for week") depicted a greatly distorted and grossly inaccurate picture of Greece and in reality is lamentable exercise in "Gonzo Journalism" .For example if we compare the aggregate total of benefits and pensions in UK with those in Greece especially concerning child support in one parent families those in the UK easily outstrip those in Greece often with far more nebulous justification as it written in a TIMES article "every young woman (in the slums )who wants to have a flat considers getting pregnant the easiest way to get it"
However everyone involved in such " journalistic shows" whose abject disregard for the truth reminds one of the articles of the infamous "Der Sturmer" must remember that by such actions not only betrays his/her sacred task to the public to inform truthfully for public's own best interests thereby abdicating for the above-mentioned task(or a Juvenal would wrote "quid custodiat questos custodes") ,but also that everyone who fans the flames of populism (who after all is the harbinger of the fascism) and negative inter-ethnic stereotyping for "30 pieces of silver" may be consumed by these flames. For we do not want unjustified sympathy but Justice, truth and fair play, or paraphrasing a British mid-19th century reformist slogan "we are EU citizens and we demand to be treated as such"
